One lane of Highway 11 has reopened south of The Coffee Shack in Honaunau Friday afternoon following a car accident, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

One lane of Highway 11 has reopened south of The Coffee Shack in Honaunau Friday afternoon following a car accident, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

The lane closure is located near mile marker 108 in South Kona because of a nonfatal traffic accident, police said.

Motorists are advised to avoid this location if possible or to use alternate routes. Middle Keei and Napopoo roads can be used as alternate routes.
